ADMISSIONS POLICY REGARDING STUDIES, STUDENT EXCHANGE AND NON-PAID INTERNSHIPS

More and more foreign students are deciding to come to Spain to carry our course work or training. If you are planning on residing in Spain, you must have a valid authorization to do so.  

Who exactly needs an authorization?

-Those who have enrolled in learning centers to study

-Those doing research or training

-Those participating in student exchange programs

-Those carrying our internships or participating in volunteer programs

Students who apply to the aforementioned scenarios will obtain a student residence permit valid for the amount of time they will be studying or training in Spain.  They may also renew their student residence permit as long as all requirements and conditions of the initial authorization continue to be met by the student as well as by the learning, research or training center, the exchange or volunteer program, or the center where the intership is being carried out.

In cases where students are admitted to study or carry out non-paid internships or volunteer work, they may also engage in a paid employment activity if and only if such activity does not interfere with the student´s studies or activities for which he was granted the initial authorization to reside in Spain.
