EU CITIZEN CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION


All EU Member State citizens planning on residing in Spain for a period of one to three months must apply for registration in the Central Register of Foreign Nationals.

Applicants will be granted the right to reside in Spain if they are planning on working for paid or self-employment and if they have the sufficient means and resources to support themselves and their family members without imposing a disproportionate burden on the Spanish social services system during their period of residence.  The applicant must submit proof of public or private health insurance contrated either in Spain or another country that will provide himself and his family with medical coverage during their period of residence in Spain.  The applicant must submit an insurance policy equivalent to that offered by the National Health Care System.

If the applicant is registering as a student then the must be enrolled in a public or private educational center recognized or sponsored by the education administration to carry out studies or professional training. The applicant must have public or private health insurance either contrated in Spain or in another country guaranteeing him coverage throughout our country.  He must have sufficient economic means and resources to support himself during his stay in Spain.
